In recent months, the City of Litchfield Park, City of Avondale & Estrella Mountain College have entered into an agreement to build a fire station which would provide emergency services to residents of Litchfield Park and the north side of Avondale. Rural Metro will continue to provide emergency services until the new fire station opens in approximately 2010.
